What is it about Chicago Booth that is going to help you reach your goals? (max 300 words)

Every aspect of Chicago Booth, from its flexible curriculum to renowned faculty to its location to its diverse student community will give me a strong foundation of the skills and mindset necessary for me to achieve my goals.

My core interest – education consulting – requires that I develop analytical and business skills that span multiple management disciplines, including finance, marketing, operations and strategy. Booth’s flexible curriculum, with just one mandatory course, will give me the ability to choose the right mix of courses to build this diverse set of skills. The insights brought by Booth’s renowned faculty would help me absorb the latest as well time-tested trends of business management.

The accomplished and inspiring peer group at Booth will be a source of immense learning for me. The diversity of the student community at Booth will give me exposure foreign cultures, thereby broadening my perspective of the world. This diversity would also result in a healthy fusion of ideas, which I can tap into. The exposure into various cultural customs and practices would be invaluable to me on consulting assignments for ethnically diverse school districts.

Booth’s location in Chicago, one of the economic engines of the US, will allow me to keep pace with emerging technologies and changing social patterns. I believe my newly acquired skills along with access to one of the foremost government-sponsored education systems in the country will give me immediate opportunities to work on consulting projects for local schools. Illinois’ extensive school network will also give me opportunities for career growth, helping me reach my eventual goal of consulting for the federal government.

For these reasons, I believe that Chicago Booth will equip me with the right set of skills, exposure and expertise for me to successfully achieve my goals.
